I started following Chris Brown on Twitter so I could more easily shame him about beating up women.
A few days ago , I replied to #TeamBreezy with this tweet.
What followed is an email I got from a young black woman who insisted on defending Chris Brown.
As you read, please remember that I only made the fat joke in retaliation for being called fat myself and, more importantly, because it was a funny fat joke.
At this point, I gave up.
I am not a woman, nor am I black, but I still feel that my feelingsĀ on what Chris Brown did are just as valid as anyone else.
Maybe someday, somebody can explain to me how a young black woman would side with Chris Brown instead of Rihanna. I mean even if he never hit anyone, his music still sucks.

Why does it matter that this person who defended Chris Brown is a Black woman? Why shouldn’t everybody of all genders and all races take a stance against domestic violence between people of any race and gender?
